New Meal Prepayment Plan (April 25, 2009)

Dear Brevard Public Schools? Parent/Guardian:
We are excited to inform you that our district will be transitioning to a new online meal prepayment system called MealpayPlus.com. MealpayPlus.com is the final phase that coincides with the current cafeteria software.

In order for this to occur, we must first terminate the existing on-line prepayment system: MyLunchMoney.com. At this time, this change will only affect students at the following schools: Eau Gallie, Gemini, Indialantic, Longleaf, Ocean Breeze, Satellite, Sherwood, Suntree and Surfside. Payments through MyLunchMoney.com for these nine schools will be discontinued on Thursday, April 23, 2009. Please note any existing balances are maintained in your student?s account in the cafeteria and are available for use. If you are currently using the MyLunchMoney.com recurring payment feature, please login into the website and discontinue this option.

MealpayPlus.com will be accessible to these nine schools for registration on Saturday April 25th and will be available for funding on Wednesday April 29th. During this transition period you can continue to prepay your student?s account by check, money order or cash directly to the cafeteria.

If you have students attending other Brevard County schools, you may continue to use the MyLunchMoney.com system until further notice. Please refer to the Brevard Schools website (http://www.brevardschools.org/lunchex.html) for a list of schools currently using MealpayPlus.com.

MealpayPlus.com is an innovative no cost tool that allows you to:
  • Monitor the food items your student purchases in the school?s cafeteria, review your student?s account balances and receive a notification email when the balance is low.
  • Deposit funds directly into your student?s meal account using a credit card or debit card. Deposits will usually be available for student use at the school that same day.
  • Create settings to automatically replenish your student?s account or receive an email notification when the balance is low. This convenient system eliminates the need to send checks to school or worry about lost or forgotten lunch money.
  • At this time a ?program fee? will not be charged when making an on-line deposit into your student?s account.
To register online, visit http://www.MealpayPlus.com, and click on the box on the right side of the screen that indicates you are new to MealpayPlus.com. To register, you will need to have the Student ID (7-digit) number assigned to your child. The MealpayPlus.com system makes security a priority and utilizes the same security methods used today by online banking services. If you have payment processing questions or concerns you can call 877-237-0946. Parents/guardians can also send an email to Support@MealpayPlus.com.

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this transition may cause, however we are confident that MealpayPlus.com is well worth the wait. We consistently strive to find new and better ways to serve our students and their families, and we thank you for partnering with us in this effort. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Office of Food and Nutrition Services at (321) 633-1000 extension 690.
